Linoleic Acid and Oleic Acid
These 2 products have similar healing properties to aloe vera and are both derived from natural products. Linoleic acid is an extract from safflower seed oil whereas oleic acid is derived from sunflowers. Both accelerate wound healing, improve scar elasticity and help to lighten dark pigmentation thus reducing the appearance of scars.

One final point of note. Despite having little or no proven effects on the reduction of scars, many products still rely on Vitamin E, steroids or onion extract as their active ingredients. Always choose your scar healing products with care and always read the label.
